Ninja Scroll Shijimaby ~residentlilly

This one is of a character called Shijima, another one of the bad guys in one of the greatest anime movies of all time, Ninja Scroll.

This was from some turn drawings done a couple years back for a line of Ninja Scroll action figures that we almost produced at Palisades. The figures were canceled before they even got to the sculpting stage, but they were fun to conceive of at the time.

I left the notes on this one, which were drawn on the original page as notes for the sculptor.

Yeah, used to, I was the Director of Product Development there...they've been dead for about 3 years or more now. Haven't done much in the toy biz since though.

Ah, so, what toys did you design? Any pictures?

I basically designed all of them. With the exception of a few lines at the end that were handled by my assistant who we promoted to Product Manager, but pretty much every product I had the responsibility of designing and managing.

Yeah, I have pictures...thousands. The entire catalog of product photography from every year. I sometimes write about old Palisades stuff in the Grey Matters section of the website for Creatus Maximus ----> [link], which was a company I started but then sort of had to stop doing anything with due to lack of funds. But I often show old Palisades stuff in that blog.
